Wolfhound – Burgers and Salad
Haeundae Open Sun-Mon till late (weekend brunch)
I usually don’t eat at pubs as the food tends to really unhealthy or simply not-vegan. Dinning at Wolfhound on a weekday at 8pm was a completely different experience to being there Saturday night. Sitting on the terrace, the music provided ambiance but was gentle enough for Mungmi (my shitzu friend) and the food was pretty good.
I ate the veggie burger with chips (11,900) sin garlic mayo. The patty was made from black beans and chickpeas and had a crunchy exterior and softer inner texture. It was delicious and very filling. To be honest, they told me the bun was ‘whole-wheat’ but I wouldn’t assume it didn’t contain milk or butter.
UPDATE: Despite what the wait staff told me, I spoke to the owner of the restaurant and he informed me that the bun contain milk and the burgers contain egg whites. Vegetarian NOT Vegan
There are also curry chips (7,900) or potato wedges (6,900) with tomato sauce and non-vegan garlic dip on the side. They boast of their all-day big breakfast for vegetarians (6,900) with toast, beans, tomatoes, hash browns and eggs. As they advertise customisation I should think they’d be good about substitutions for the eggs, but I haven’t tried it myself.
